7 Tips For Party Planning in 2021

Planning a party was stressful enough without worrying about a pandemic. Sure, we always knew there were germs, but now we are hyper-sensitive to all of them. What does this mean for future party planning? As restrictions ease and more of the population becomes vaccinated there is a desire to understand how to plan a safe, but enjoyable gathering for all.

Here are our Top 7 Tips as you look forward to planning for brighter days!

  • Make it a MINI Social.  This is always a hard task, but still a necessary one. Here are some things to consider as you address your invitations.

    • Who is close to you that you have not seen that should be there?

    • Are the people you are inviting high-risk still?

    • Who have you really missed connecting with over the last year? Yes, you can say everyone, but think hard.

    • Will the people you invite be comfortable with your ground rules?

  • Keep It Clean. Provide hand sanitizer upon entry and near food.

  • Know the Rules. Confirm your venue’s cleaning protocol. Are there touchless faucets, soap, and paper towels? At Mini Social we list our safety and sanitation protocols for our customers to know before booking.

  • Plan Ahead. Rather than providing a buffet-style meal, pre-package little meals for each guest! Keep to pre-packaged snacks and drinks. This will avoid the need for touching and sharing of serving utensils.

  • BYOB. Make it a bring your own beverages party. This way guests are not pouring from the same container or reaching into a bin to grab for drinks.

  • Together and Apart. Social distance tables and seating areas for guests that might be more comfortable spread out. Plus, more floor space means more opportunity to bust a move!

  • Party Favors. Haven’t you heard? Face masks are the new must-have 2021 accessory! Provide masks for guests that might be more comfortable wearing one.
